The Division of Cell Biology, Histology, and Embryology contributes to following teaching modules and tracks providing lectures, seminars, and practicals to the students:

1st semester

  •  MODULE I – Cell and tissue

Lectures:

Cytology/ cell biology; histology (epithelial tissue, connective and supporting tissue, muscular tissue, nervous tissue); blood and sanguification; blood- und lymphatic vessels (part 1 - basics); embryology: general embryology, development of three-layered blastoderm (basics), stem cells (basics)

  • Track – practicals on Histology, Human genetics and Physiology

Microscopy: Seminar with practical (SU)

2nd semester

  • MODUL V – Nervous system

Lectures:

Micromorphological basics of the nervous system; skin and skin appendages, sense organs

Microscopy: Seminar with practical (SU)

3rd Semester

  • MODULE VI – Gastrointestinal tract und metabolism

Lectures:

Microscopic anatomy of the digestive system

  • MODUL VII – Cardiac- circulatory system and respiratory tract

Lectures:

Micromorphological basics of the heart, microscopic anatomy of blood- and lymphatic vessels (part 2); microscopic anatomy of lymphatic organs and respiratory organs

  • MODUL VIII – Urogenital tract, embryology, endocrinology

Lectures: Microscopic anatomy of the kidney and urinary tract collection system, male and female genital organs, endocrine organs; general and special embryology

  • TRACK – Practicals on Histology und Physiology
